Justin Bieber would have been aborted if his mother, Pattie Mallette, had not become a Christian before she became pregnant. Mallette is now the executive producer of “Crescendo,” a film that she hopes will raise $10 million to fund pro-life pregnancy centers around America. A longtime Bieber associate said, “I don’t believe he agrees with his mom on this issue.” Think about the irony of that statement.
Today, thousands of pro-life supporters will gather on the National Mall for the annual “March for Life”. Yesterday we explored the financial impact of abortion on our nation. Today let’s consider the lives lost, the survivors of abortion, and those who have the courage to choose life.

If abortion rates have been stable over the last 40 years, more than 27,000,000 abortion victims would be adults today, ages 21-40, contributing to the workforce and our economy. There are 661,400 doctors in the U.S.—assuming stable abortion rates, 56,872 physicians have been aborted. There are 2,909,357 nurses in America—250,167 have been aborted.
Gianna Jessen is an abortion survivor. Her mother was seven and one-half months pregnant when she decided to abort her child. However, her daughter survived the saline injection. She was hospitalized for three months before being placed in foster care. She was afflicted with cerebral palsy as a result of the attempted abortion; after four surgeries, she can walk without assistance.

A baby is called a tissue or clump of cells when an abortion takes place at two, three, four months. Why is that? I see no difference.”
Speaking to Parliament House in Victoria, Australia, she added: “If abortion is merely about women’s rights . . . then where were mine? My life was being snuffed out in the name of women’s rights.” Mother Teresa said of her: “God is using Gianna Jessen to remind the world that each human being is precious to him.” King David would have agreed: “You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:13-14).
Jessen closed her remarks to Congress by citing this statement from Abraham Lincoln: “Whatever is morally wrong, is not politically correct.” Do you agree?
