With millions of people watching this high-stakes game with ever-fluctuating rules and expectations, what do you think the high schoolers would do?
They will play very slowly and cautiously, waiting to hear if the ref will change the rules at the last second of every play. They might even rebel and make up their own personal games. Regardless of how they respond, they will be filled with anxiety.
