Amazon wants to make your hand your credit card

January 23, 2020 -

Imagine paying for your purchase by waving your hand. If Amazon’s plan comes to fruition, you’ll have that option.

The tech giant is creating checkout terminals that would allow shoppers to link their card information to their hands. The plan is in the early stages and faces several questions. How will the terminals detect fraud? Will customers want to give such personal information?

In addition, how would shoppers add more than one account to their palm? If they do, how would they choose between these cards when they pay?

Management expert Peter Drucker told his students, “You cannot predict the future, but you can create it.”

The message that deserves our greatest creativity and communicational commitment is the gospel. Finding new ways to share God’s unchanging word is the priority and privilege of our day (cf. 1 Corinthians 9:21–22).

How will you give the gift of God’s love today?
