VIDEO: A conversation on pastoral health with Pastor Steve Smith

May 26, 2020 -

Steve Smith is Director of Hope Works Counseling Center in Plano, Texas. He has served in several churches during his ministry, including the First Baptist Church of Euless, Texas and Prestonwood Baptist Church in North Dallas. In addition to overseeing the counseling center with more than ten counselors on staff, Steve is pastor of Hebron Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.

This interview, hosted by pastor Mark Turman, provides insight into some of the longstanding struggles pastors face and some of the new challenges created by the COVID-19 crisis.

We hope this interview encourages and strengthens you as you serve Christ’s church in your community.

Pastors face the same emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual challenges their people face. Most pastors would tell their members that asking for help is not a sign of weakness but rather a sign of wisdom. We would hope that pastors would take that same advice for themselves.

Please contact us if we can help.
